Private sector lay emphasis on need for infrastructure investment

Tanzania Private Sector Foundation Director of Membership Services, Louis Accaro told Property Watch at the sidelines of the 2nd East African Business Council and Exhibition that both hard and soft infrastructure are needed to develop smart cities which are becoming a global phenomenon.

Accaro said core infrastructure elements in a smart city as per people’s perspective would include adequate water supply, assured electricity supply and good sanitation for especially solid waste management.

“To transform our cities into smart ones we need to ensure that they are planned in an efficient urban mobility with reliable public transport but unfortunate the existing roads especially in Dar es Salaam, Kampala and Bujumbura are not enough,” the TPSF Director noted. Read more. Source | IPP Media
