The Consultant will undertake a short-term assignment (8 calendar weeks) to provide technical assistance to the Tanzania Ministry of Industry and Trade to extensively engage the national stakeholders in order to finalize the Draft Tanzania National AGOA Strategy and, ultimately, produce a practical strategy that is validated and acceptable to both, the private sector and the Government of Tanzania. The Consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following detailed tasks: Review of the Draft AGOA Strategy and existing National export strategies and summarize key stakeholder engagement topics. Work with the designated Ministry official and the Hub country representative to meet key AGOA stakeholders from the country’s 33 counties and solicit their input into the draft strategy Produce a summary of stakeholders’ feedback that identifies the gaps, areas of concurrence and improvement in the draft strategy; Produce a revised strategy including input from stakeholders for review and adoption by the Ministry. Obtain written concurrence of the designated representative of the Minister of Industry and Trade. The Hub is seeking qualified team of consultants (Individuals) with technical expertise and a proven record to develop an Electronic Notification System (ENS) for the Enquiry Points/Notification Authorities in the EAC Partner States. The Hub plans to undertake a review of existing notification systems for the national enquiry points/notification authorities, determine their status, effectiveness of notification process, examine international best practices and identify those which can be implemented in the Partner States. By using the electronic SPS and TBT notification systems, EAC member states' private and public sector users will receive, via e-mail, notifications of drafts or changes to domestic and foreign technical regulations for manufactured and other products. The Hub  is seeking applications from experienced value chain experts for Value Chain Development Specialist position under its Agriculture and Agribusiness component. Although the Hub's  component 2 focuses on priority value chains under the USAID/East Africa Regional Feed the Future (FtF) strategy, it will also cover other value chains with potential for investment. Priority value chains under FtF include maize and other grains, beans and legumes, fruits and vegetables, and livestock. The Hub's  component 2 complements a number of activities and programs that are designed to: support private sector investment in agriculture; assess the legal, regulatory, and institutional agribusiness enabling environment in order to diagnose constraints to economic growth; and build sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) capacity in the region. The Gender Manager will ensure that gender considerations are integrated into East Africa Trade and Investment Hub activities by addressing gender inequality issues in formal and informal cross-border trade. The Gender Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks: Oversee implementation of the Hub’s Gender Strategy, and ensure gender issues are fully integrated into the Hub work plan, Performance Management Plan (PMP), and component activities. Identify and lead strategies to mainstream gender equity into trade policy, trade facilitation, entrepreneurship, and other activities. Work proactively with Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Communications team and Component Leaders to catalyze efforts to increase women’s participation in Hub activities. Develop systems to measure success of gender inclusion in Hub activities. Monitor and report on results related to gender strategies.
