High production cost and poor leather goods making equipment impede manufacturers from making high quality products. To rescue the situation, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment in collaboration with the Tanzania Trade and Development Authority (TanTrade) plan to intervene by empowering them financially and imparting basic skills.
TanTrade Acting Director General, Mr Edwin Rutageruka said that the interventions aim to transform entrepreneurs businesses into small scale industries. Mr Rutageruka made the remarks during his visits to some 35 small scale entrepreneurs on leather products in Manzese, Dar es Salaam yesterday.
“Apart from costs and facilities also lack of reliable markets hampers entrepreneurs’ growth,” he said. Read more. Source | Daily News
