Kenyan manufacturers have held an expo in Burundi and promised to make it an annual affair.
Kenyan ambassador to Burundi Ken Vitisia urged the East African Community partner states to invest in the country in order to “create peace and stability.”
Kenya’s share of the manufactured goods and services market in Burundi has been diminishing since early this year.
The expo was designed to re-ignite interest in Kenyan goods and offer opportunities for investments and partnerships between the countries.
“Major investors in Burundi are KCB, Safintra Kobil and Jubilee. Kenya has been a leading investor here; now we want to see how we can uplift palm oil here,” said Mr Vitisia. Read more. Source | The East African
