African leaders are set to brainstorm on ways of transforming agriculture into an engine for inclusive socio-economic growth and development at the sixth African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF), 2016 , in Nairobi, Kenya.
The AGRF, Africa’s largest agricultural event, which is billed to run from September 5-9, 2016, at the United Nations Complex, Nairobi, will attract hundreds of influential leaders and CEOs, as well as award the newly established Africa Food Prize.
A statement obtained from the AGRF’s website said the event with the theme “Seize the moment: Africa rising through agricultural transformation”, arrives at a time when an unprecedented number of leaders in both African and donor countries are signaling that agriculture development is essential to Africa’s long-term economic growth.
