African and global business leaders to gather for Initiative for Global Development‘s Spring Frontier 100 Forum

Published on May 05, 2016

The Hub’s Trade Promotion and AGOA Director, Finn Holm-Olsen, will be participating in the Global Development‘s (IGD) Spring Frontier 100 Forum, to be held on May 13-14, in Nairobi, Kenya. Mr. Holm-Olsen will take part in a panel discussion entitled, Achieving Inclusive Growth through Greater Trade Opportunities, which focuses on how African companies can take full advantage of trade opportunities to boost their export potential and drive Africa's economic transformation.

The Hub is pleased to be participating in IGD’S Frontier 100 Forum. We are always eager to speak about opportunities under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), particularly given its recent long-term extension. AGOA’s extension to 2025 presents eligible African countries with an unprecedented opportunity to build their competitiveness in key sectors and expand trade ties with the United States. We look forward to an active and engaging discussion,’’ said Finn Holm-Olsen.

The Frontier 100 Forum is an exclusive, invitation-only biannual event that brings together CEOs and senior executives from IGD’s Frontier Leader network to offer insight, collaborate, and advance initiatives in key sectors of Africa.

Under the theme, Engines of Growth: Powering African Companies to Create Employment and Accelerate Development, the event participants will discuss how African companies and multinational corporations can drive job creation and capitalize on today’s business environment for growth.
