Finalists from the Hub-supported Young Innovators in Agribusiness Competition pitched their business ideas to USAID Administrator Gayle Smith at the African Green Revolution Forum. The Hub supported the young innovators to travel to Nairobi for the Forum and showcase their business products and services in the Forum's exhibition hall. The goals were to help the young innovators gain more experience pitching their businesses, and to support them to make trade linkages with the high-level public and private sector players in attendance. This was certainly the case with Administrator Smith who sampled fresh gelato from one of the innovators and gave all five of the finalists a supportive audience.
