The Hub and Alpharama Limited have commenced an initiative to increase access to high-quality leather and accessories for small and medium-sized enterprises. “Our business is leather. We will create a retail shop for the small leather buyers,” said Alpharama Limited Managing Director Sambasiva Rao. With the new collaboration, they plan to increase sales to small-scale customers with a focus on SMEs.
“I started small and I know how much foundation an entrepreneur can lay to have a successful company. I prefer working with startup companies to assist them to grow,” said Alpharama Limited Managing Director Sambasiva Rao.
“Excellent - that is the service from Alpharama Limited. I am able to buy premium leather and select quality leather. For export you need top quality leather,” said Managing Director Leather Masters Limited, Idris Rupani.
Idris Rupani has been producing and exporting leather products to Europe for the last 30 years.
“The creation of a retail shop by Alpharama I believe is a fantastic idea. I will now be able to get leather from Alpharama from as small as 200 square feet. This I believe will be a great opportunity for me to continuously build my brand,” said Larissa Muthoni from Zamoyo.
Zamoyo is an SME based in Kenya that produces leather bags with the goal of soon exporting to the U.S. through the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
