Kenyan government releases Sh1b to clear arrears owed to maize farmers

The Kenyan government will start paying Sh1 billion to maize farmers who delivered their produce to the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) depots, but were not paid after the board exhausted earlier budgetary allocation of Sh2.7 billion.
