Mark your calendars. The 2015 Origin Africa Trade Expo will be in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia October 21 - 23, 2015.
The Origin Africa Trade Expo, themed “changing perceptions, building synergies, doing business,” is an international trade fair dedicated to improving trade in African cotton, textile and apparel. In addition to connecting buyers and sellers, the show hosts a seminar series focused on requirements for investment and expansion in Africa. Find out more about the event and register here.
The event is jointly organized by the USAID - supported African Cotton & Textile Industries Federation (ACTIF) and the international event organizer Trade & Fairs East Africa.
The 2014 Origin Africa Trade Expo in Nairobi, Kenya had more than 400 participants.
The Origin Africa Trade Expo builds on the recent momentum of apparel buyers, including PVH, Levi’s and H&M, to place orders with eastern and southern African manufacturers of textile and apparel. Eastern and southern Africa offer reliable sourcing destinations for international companies looking to diversify their portfolios and transition away from South Asia and China. As U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec said at the 2014 Origin Africa event in Nairobi, “no one was asking whether to invest in the continent, but rather when and how."
