Rwanda reap more than $23 million from tea exports in the first quarter of 2017

It is a new month that has already taken shape with customary changes and arrangements in Rwanda, as the board comes up with new ways to better the tea production, both locally and globally. Most importantly, the National Agriculture export Board (NAEB) has been focusing on strengthening efforts in a bid to increase the commodity’s exports and revenue.

In order to achieve this, according to Issa Nkurunziza, the tea division manager at NAEB, he has mentioned that new strategies will be geared towards reducing losses and ensure that there is quality of green leaf among farmers and producers. Tea has played a vital role in the economy of the East African state, and fresh ideas to improve it will be nothing short of a brilliant management. Read more. Source | The Exchange
