The IT Specialist is responsible for the IT needs of the Hub’s office, including system installations, maintenance, and technical support. S/he is responsible for ensuring that standards set by the DAI home office are followed and project solutions are the most efficient and cost effective. S/he will ensure that proper back up, anti-virus and disaster recovery procedures are identified and followed and that end users have access to shared files, printers and email. The East Africa Trade and Investment Hub requires the services of an experienced Copy Editorto assist in finalizing project reports for publication. The copy editor will:• Edit texts of a specialized or technical nature to ensure accuracy, clarity, cohesion and conformity with Associated Press Stylebook standards, policy and practice;• Consult with the relevant consultants and technical leads to clarify ambiguities, ensure conformity with specific aspects of editorial policy and practice, and rectify substantive errors;• Provide consistent formatting and a professional layout;• Check copy after layout against submitted Word file, noting any omissions, additional text, or final revisions;• In consultation with the Director of Communications, agree on specific return dates for each publication to be edited and communicate and explain any potential delays immediately to the relevant Technical Lead:• Additional responsibilities may include writing headings, figure titles and basic fact checking;DELIVERABLES:The following deliverables will be the responsibility of the consultant, to be delivered in accordance with deadlines to be agreed for each item.• Final documents should be duly edited and laid-out, and be ready to be published;• Documents will follow a report format that will be pre-agreed with the Director of Communications and relevant technical lead;• Attendance at meetings and provide consultation as required.

The M&E Specialist will support the development and day-to-day operations of the M&E systems to document project progress and results and inform program implementation and management. The M&E Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following detailed tasks: Develop and manage an effective database for documentation of project activities and results Conduct and/or support primary data collection for selected agricultural and non-agricultural commodities Develop and execute robust data analysis procedures using advanced statistical and geo-spatial techniques Support the development, review and implementation of the Hub’s Performance Management Plan (PMP) and M&E system. Support the design and execution of baseline assessments, annual surveys and other specialized studies. Provide day‐to‐day management of the project’s M&E plan. Lead training and capacity building activities for monitoring-related techniques and methods for the Hub’s staff. Apply Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support the project’s overall development planning, design, and monitoring and evaluation.

The Project Driver/Administrative Assistant will maintain all project vehicles and drive project staff to and from meetings, appointments, and all other project-related travel. Overnight regional travel may be required, as directed by the project. The Driver/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following detailed tasks: • Vehicle maintenance including regular check-ups, cleanings, and fuelling. • Maintaining an accurate vehicle log. • Working with Administrative Officer to manage daily vehicle and trip scheduling as needed. • Maintaining accurate records and paperwork on all vehicle-related purchases and maintenance. • Providing safe transportation to and from locations for project staff. • Ensuring compliance with all DAI and local driving laws and regulations. • Maintain administrative files and office supplies; request additional supplies as needed. • Regularly audit office inventory and update TAMIS. • Assist the Administrative Officer as needed. • Other duties as assigned. The Consultant will undertake a short-term assignment (8 calendar weeks) to provide technical assistance to the Tanzania Ministry of Industry and Trade to extensively engage the national stakeholders in order to finalize the Draft Tanzania National AGOA Strategy and, ultimately, produce a practical strategy that is validated and acceptable to both, the private sector and the Government of Tanzania. The Consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following detailed tasks: Review of the Draft AGOA Strategy and existing National export strategies and summarize key stakeholder engagement topics. Work with the designated Ministry official and the Hub country representative to meet key AGOA stakeholders from the country’s 33 counties and solicit their input into the draft strategy Produce a summary of stakeholders’ feedback that identifies the gaps, areas of concurrence and improvement in the draft strategy; Produce a revised strategy including input from stakeholders for review and adoption by the Ministry. Obtain written concurrence of the designated representative of the Minister of Industry and Trade.
