The Hub requires the services of a firm that will be tasked with the Development of a Strategy to Guide the Implementation of the EAC Food and Nutrition Security Policy under the following guidelines: 1. Analyze the current situation of Food and Nutrition security in the EAC with specific focus on the recent developments, challenges and opportunities; 2. Analyze political economy challenges in the implementation of EAC Food and Nutrition Security Policy at regional and national levels; 3. Review EAC Food and Nutrition Security Policy and identify highlights and strategic direction/issues; 4. Based on the strategic issues/objectives in the policy document, identify specific interventions needed to address EAC Food and Nutrition Security situation in the EAC (based on stakeholders consultations), prioritize activities to be undertaken and critical targets to be achieved in the next 5 years; 5. Develop implementation plan which should include strategic objectives, interventions, activities, time frame, target to be achieved , implementing agency (Lead and supporting), indicative resources required; 6. Ensure that issues of gender, youth, environment, climate change, value addition, market access, post-harvest technologies, among others are adequately addressed in the plan; and, 7. Annual Program Statement (APS) - Cancellation

The purpose of this general notice is to inform all prospective and interested applicants of the cancellation of the subject APS. The Hub has received hundreds of concepts since the issuance of the APS and has since selected from that pool adequate applicants to partner with. Whether you are owner of a project yourself or you promote projects on behalf of clients, the search for capital is an often long, tiresome and costly process. The Investment Projects Platform, launched in December 2015, can help to make your life easier. It offers owners and/or promoters of investor-ready projects excellent exposure to an exclusive circle of Swiss and Swiss-based investors. Since the launch, 10 projects from 6 countries and 7 sectore have been pre-screened and published on the platform, and are consulted by potential investors.If you have a project in investor-ready stage, have a look at what the platform has to offer click here Terms and conditions are outlined on the website. In relation to the exposure your project gets, registration fees are comparatively low.Here are the criteria for projects to be accepted: Project(s) must be ready to be presented to potential investors, i.e. being complete with at least an executive summary, business plan and detailed financials The required investment volume is between 1 mio and 20mio USD. (Please take note that we cannot accept projects below 1 mio USD) Preference is given at the moment to projects in the sectors of agribusiness, energy, education, healthcare and ICT. Country-wise Mozambique, Ivory Coast, Botswana, Rwanda, Nigeria and South Africa are priority. Under the Hub’s project component four (Trade policy and regulatory reform), we invite qualified law firms with demonstrated experience in the East African Community (EAC) region to provide a regular review of the implementation status of the EAC Common Market Protocol, provide reform proposals and contribute to building the capacity of reform agents in implementing the protocol. Each proposal should be in respect to a specific EAC Partner State. Applicants may propose to undertake the assignment in multiple Partner States. Proposals are due no later than Friday February 19th 2016 at 11:59 pm local time Nairobi, to be submitted via email to the address provided in the instructions. (Late offers will be rejected except under extraordinary circumstances at DAI’s discretion.)  All proposals submitted shall reference the RFP Number “RFP-NAI-0025 Legal Advisory Services – (Country)” in the email subject line. Each proposal should be in respect to a specific EAC Partner State. Applicants may propose to undertake the assignment in multiple Partner States. The submission to DAI of a proposal in response to this RFP will constitute an offer and indicates the Offeror’s agreement to the terms and conditions in this RFP and any attachments hereto.
