Africa rising as a destination for textiles and apparel with the help of AGOA

The Hub participated in the just concluded Source Africa Trade Show 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa. The Hub supports trade shows to help East African exporters build business linkages with the U.S. and other international markets. The Hub also looks to raise the profile of African companies and promote sub-Saharan African as a sourcing destination for U.S. apparel needs. To build on trade show momentum and linkages made, the Hub organizes follow-up buyer missions to sub-Saharan countries. This is often where contracts are signed.

Source Africa Trade Show 2016 provided African manufacturers and suppliers with an opportunity to promote their latest products and services to key decision makers and to network with other industry and government players. Countries represented included South Africa, Mauritius, Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland, Madagascar, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana and Zimbabwe.
